ACCOUNT DELETION
At Selfinvite, we respect your right to control your personal data. You may permanently delete your account at any time, directly from within the application. This page describes the deletion process, what happens to your data, and what to expect before and after you submit your request.
How to Delete Your Account
Account deletion is available directly from your profile inside the Selfinvite application. To initiate the process:
- Open the Selfinvite application on your device.
- Navigate to your Profile section.
- Tap the "Delete user" button located at the bottom of the profile page.
- Read the confirmation message carefully, then confirm your intention to permanently delete your account.
Once you confirm, the deletion process begins immediately and cannot be undone.
What Happens to Your Data
Upon confirming account deletion, the following actions are taken automatically:
- Personal information anonymized: Your name, email address, phone number, profile picture, and any other directly identifiable data are permanently anonymized. This data can no longer be linked back to you.
- Account access revoked: Your login credentials are invalidated immediately. You will no longer be able to sign in to Selfinvite using your previous account.
- Event and transaction history: Records of Events you hosted or attended, along with associated transactions, are retained in anonymized form for statistical and legal compliance purposes. These records cannot be traced back to your identity.
- Reviews and feedbacks: Any reviews or feedbacks you submitted or received are retained in anonymized form to preserve the integrity of the rating system for other users.
Irreversibility of the Process
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once you confirm the deletion:
- Your account cannot be restored or reactivated.
- Anonymized data cannot be re-associated with your identity.
- Any pending payouts or open transactions must be resolved before deletion is finalized.
- If you wish to use Selfinvite again in the future, you will need to create a brand new account.
We strongly recommend resolving any open Events, pending payments, or outstanding refund requests before proceeding with account deletion.
Data Retained for Statistical Purposes
Selfinvite reserves the right to retain anonymized data for statistical and analytical purposes only. This data is stripped of all personally identifiable information and cannot be used to identify any individual user. Retained data may include aggregated metrics such as the number of events attended, general location areas, or contribution amounts, used solely to improve the quality of the platform and its services.
This practice is in accordance with the Selfinvite Privacy Policy and applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
